People & Places

The people below are a mix of amateur and professional models and actresses. When I’m not photographing people, I like to venture out into rainy weather to capture moody scenes that convey a sense of loneliness and detachment.

The subject matter of loneliness in photography can range from abandoned places to solitary figures, and desolate landscapes.

All images were photographed using a Nikon D5200 and retouched using Lightroom Classic and Photoshop CC.

Blade Runner Blues

I shot this photo walking to Grand Central Station after work one stormy night. It’s stitched together from 3 photos using Lightroom CC. I then made a custom Lightroom preset to give the image the desired mood.

This image was showcased on Grand Central Terminal’s official Instagram.

Before & After

I enjoy doing photo retouching. Below are a few examples of my retouching work using Photoshop CC and Lightroom Classic. I will post more examples in the coming days.

During this photoshoot, we found a tire that someone had been using as a swing in an abandoned brick factory in upstate New York. My subject had a roller girl-rockabilly vibe, so I had her sit on the tire and lean slightly forward.

In the “After” photo I used Photoshop I replaced the worn-out tire with one that would have been on a car from the 1950s.

This was the first image I tried out the “Generative AI” feature using Photoshop beta. I wanted to see how I could incorporate its use into my “We Die They Live” story photo project.

For this example, I used AI to bring debris such as tires, paper, and an abandoned car into the scene. I finished off the image with a custom Lightroom Preset that gives the photo a 1980s movie aesthetic.
